They need a rental for obvious reasons since they do a lot of travel and taking taxis can be expensive and inconvenient. It is common to rent cars at your arrival airport so you can easily get to and from the airport and your destination.

So what if you're going to a city with plenty of public transportation? While it may seem easy enough to take busses and subways, taking a vacation is a lot less stressful and more enjoyable if you rent a car.
