For instance, if you enjoy journeying cross-country, an adventure tour could involve trekking to the Appalachian Mountains or to the mystical to Machu Picchu in Peru. Historical or food interests could result in a traveler participating in a tour to the ancient temples in China or wine tasting classes at a winery in California.

Thrill seekers especially enjoy the extreme sports available on adventure travel tours. Adventurers can kayak on the Colorado River's rushing waters or go cage dive and come face to face with sharks off the coast of the aborigine continent.
