Texas is a unique state, and Dallas is its most visited city. It's a wonderful place to go for a whole vacation or just a week-end. Tourists find many things to see and do there. The Trinity river is near and many of its creeks and tributaries run through the city. You can walk the river paths and view oak trees, as well as cottonwood and pecan.

The southwestern United States thrives on the financial and business center that makes up Dallas. There are always conventions for businesses and groups to attend. In fact, Dallas refers to itself as the busiest convention city in North America. If you are spending a night or more, you'll have a variety of hotels to choose from. You can luxuriate in a gorgeous suite, or if you want to save money, you can find excellent budget accommodations. You can stay in the heart of the city or retreat to the quieter suburbs or stay out near the airport.

You won't be restricted to financial interests when you visit Dallas. There are art and cultural exhibits not to be missed. One of the most interesting museums is the African American Museum situated at Fair Park. As you tour it you will learn much about African American culture and heritage that you hadn't known before. You will also have a number of art galleries to choose from if you wish.

Another museum that will keep you occupied if are visiting Dallas with your children is the Dallas Children’s Museum. In this museum you and your children will have a hands-on experience as you play in the many life-like scenarios that include a farm, a hospital, a grocery store, and a firehouse. After you’re done playing you can introduce your children to a few of the cultural displays before heading back out into the busy city of Dallas.

No trip to Dallas would be complete without a little shopping. Dallas is home to a variety of boutiques and even some second-hand shops that sell the wares of top- rated designers such as Armani, Donna Karan, and Emanuael. Dallas is also home to many a sports enthusiast - with professional basketball, baseball, football and hockey. Or, if you want to participate in sports, you'll find lots of challenging golf courses. After 18-holes of golf, you can retire to one of the many fine Dallas restaurants.

Regardless of what time of the year you visit Dallas, you'll find something fun to do and leave with a desire to comeback for more.
