Fish on the Menu

The word 'vacation' can be best broken down into three categories, hotels, attractions, and dining. There are very almost no activities that encompass all three, and very few that actually cover two of these categories. There is, however, one place in Denver Colorado where you can get the better parts of the vacation, the attractions and dining, all in one spot, at the same time. This is the Denver Downtown Aquarium where the fish are not only on the menu.

This fine family fun establishment was originally the Ocean Journey Aquarium. A few years back the Downtown Aquarium purchased it and the new owners took the experience to a new level by adding new exhibits and an unsurpassed dining opportunity. With over five hundred species of aquatic wildlife to see, most vacationers choose to make an entire day of it. After all, you do not even have to leave for lunch or dinner!

Dinner on the Half Shell

As far as dining experiences go, this is the chance of a lifetime. Where else in the entire world can you eat right next to a massive gigantic one hundred and fifty thousand gallon aquarium! Waiting for your food is much more enjoyable when you can sit and watch the manta rays swim by, or marvel at the shovel nosed guitarfish as it makes its way among the hundreds of other species of aquatic animals. When your food does arrive, you will be very pleased that you chose this for one of your vacation activities. The seafood is one of the top rated dishes, but the steak is absolutely a must try. The menu at the Downtown Aquarium is fairly large with a considerable amount of appetizers, main courses and lots of almost sinfully delicious desserts to choose from.

Safari Time!

Either before or after your scrumptious dining experience, or both, it's off to see the many sites that this massive establishment holds. There are several different habitats here, such as the rainforest, the Coral Lagoon, the Sunken Temple, the Shipwreck, the In The Desert Exhibit, the Under The Sea habitat, and the At the Beach experience. All of these habitats and exhibits are shockingly realistic as the Downtown Aquarium has invested a lot of time and finances in making this the most authentic experience as humanly possible without actually being in these places.

Soggy Sea Souvenirs

For a little something to remember your visit by or to pick up some toys for the kids, you can always duck into the quaint little Treasure Chest Gift Shop. Here you will find some really fun reminders of your trip, such as clothing, toys, souvenirs, cards, stickers, and tons more.

Regardless of where you have picked out to visit during your stay in Denver Colorado, for the sake of your family, it is imperative that you put one entire day aside for a fun filled underwater adventure at the Denver Downtown Aquarium. Your family will be grateful for a very long time.
