Good Times for Everyone - Visit Las vegas

Las Vegas known at "The Entertainment Capital of the World" is located in southeastern Nevada, USA. With its notorious nightlife it is also known as "Sin City" due to its gambling and prostitution history. Today it is well know for its resorts, casinos, shopping and Broadway and Hollywood type shows.

With the unrestricted availability of alcoholic beverages, Las Vegas is the place to be for conventions and vacations alike. It's is one of the world's most recognizable cities and is featured often on television and in movies.

Las Vegas officially became a city in 1911 and today it is one of the fastest growing cities in America. Gambling became legal in Nevada in 1931 and in 1946 the first of the hotels opened up on what would become the Las Vegas Strip. It was the Flamingo Hotel.

Depending on your budget and where you prefer to stay while on a visit to Las Vegas there are numerous hotels and resorts to stay in. Whether you want to be near a casino or having a family vacation the choices are virtually endless. The hotels are always making changes in order to make your experience better. The areas surrounding Las Vegas are not as developed but your motel stay can be less expensive if you are willing to drive a little ways into the limelight areas.

In the middle of treeless mountains in an entirely flat valley, Las Vegas offers all sorts of photo opportunities for visitors. The lights that are put off by the city ans well as the active streets are an amazing sight to behold. There are a million things for the tourist to do all in one cluster. You can go from your hotel room to a casino in a matter of minutes in Vegas as most all hotels have their own casinos right off the main lobby area.

When visiting Las Vegas you need to make sure that you take along some gambling money, it doesn't have to be a lot, just enough to try your luck at the slots or maybe even a blackjack table. If you don't know how to play then many of the casinos offer free lessons during the day for your pleasure. Don't forget to plan on taking in a show or two as well. Las Vegas has some of the best shows to be enjoyed such as David Cassidy, Penn and Teller, Cirque Du Soliel or even a Vegas Showgirl extravaganza.

People watching is a fascinating thing to do in Las Vegas as most people look like a scene from a seventies movie. It's all glitz and glamour appearance is a plus for most tourist. There is plenty of scenery surrounding the area to keep your attention. Las Vegas is a fun city, so get ready, pack your bags and have a fabulous time!
