The Famous Mouse in Orlando

To spend quality time together with your family- Orlando, Florida comes to the mind without an effort. Its beauty apart, it is home to the most popular mouse in the world, Mickey Mouse. The town has many parks dedicated to the mouse and his pals. You must have loved Mickey in your childhood and perhaps even today. So go to the lovely and many Disney theme parks and water parks that have made this sleepy town of Florida famous the world over. Plan a complete Disney holiday and stay at one of its themed resorts. Don't worry about the cost; there are packages to suit every budget.

The "Most Magical Place on Earth" as it is rightly called has transformed Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom into the stratosphere of family oriented theme parks. The Magic Kingdom is just the place to be in if you want to fly around Neverland with Peter Pan and his pals or brave the unknown of Space Mountain. This great theme park has something of interest for kids and adults alike. It has everything from the famous puppets singing the catchy "It's a Small World After All" or just shopping at the many stores on Main Street.

The newest addition to the Walt Disney World theme parks is the Animal Kingdom. This twist on the traditional zoo is nothing like you have ever seen before! With different sections housing animals native to different continents, go on safari in the park’s African savannah or plunge down a white river rapids in the Asian section. In addition to experiencing tons of rides, attractions, and animals, you can also learn more about different cultures through a variety of shows and educational exhibits at the park.

If you are a movie buff, you can go over to MGM Studios for a sneak peek behind the scenes. MGM Studios is designed like an actual movie studio that gives you the chance to relive your favorite moments from classics like "Singin’ in the Rain" and the famous "Star Wars" movies. You can also take a tour of the back lot and see how movies are made with great special effects and cool stunts. You simply can't miss the show, "Fantasmic" where the favorite mouse combats evil like Aladdin’s nemesis Jafar. If you like daring adventure, you will love the "Twilight Zone Tower of Terror" that plunges you towards the earth at startling rates.

Remember to stop at the famous "golf ball" and visit Epcot. Epcot is the classic theme park that allows you to travel the world without leaving Orlando. You can learn about countries like China, Mexico, and Norway while you experience the great food and culture of their native peoples. The trip into the past with the dinosaur exhibit will take you back in the Jurassic age. Disney's Blizzard Beach and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon are the two water parks in Orlando for those who swear by water activities. Blizzard Beach is complete with luges and a ski jump for the daring. It used to be a ski resort before being converted into a water park. For body surfing, watching lovely fishes and lazing down a river there is the Typhoon Lagoon.
