However, there are other options available. As it turns out, maybe the gnome doesn't always know best, because while cheap flights can be found on these sites, often times better deals can be found through the airline sites' themselves! With a bit of time and research, you can be certain to find the best deals available. And the farther in advance you start looking, the more likely you are to stumble onto a gem of a deal.

Now it is time to look into how you will get around once you arrive. The most obvious and popular choice is to rent a car. However, this is not cheap. Do some serious thinking about where and when you are traveling.
